Welton O’neal is an international development professional with extensive experience leading preventive intervention programs at the global level to advance the global goals for a better and a more sustainable future. Welton is an experienced advocate and a high impact professional with proven track record of developing and leading a multi-stakeholder initiative, and building relationships with multilateral institutions to develop a more effective strategic engagement and partnership. His first hands-on experience was serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi as Project Coordinator for the USAID-PEPFAR funded project DREAMS. While in this position, he provided expert advice and recommendations to the DREAMS Partners, the district and city governments on best practices, collaboration, coordination, and strategic planning on HIV/AIDS and gender-based violence (GBV) related activities.
